The idea here is that as I find a new application that I find useful I'll note it down here with any comments I have at the time. This is obviously not an exhaustive list of every application I use, nor am I going to try and retrospectively fill it up with every useful application I've ever found!

TkCVS is a Tk based graphical interface to the CVS and Subversion version control systems. For CVS, it includes facilities for providing "user friendly" names to modules and directories within the repository, and provides a facility to interactively browse the repository looking for modules and directories.

I tried qct, rapidsvn and subcommander - in comparision tkcvs felt much faster and the browse version tree / inbuilt diff tool felt quite useful. For most tasks none of these compare with the flexibility of the command-line tools but for quickly checking through file versions and diffs it feels quite handy. It also feels fairly configurable (including being able to define user-specified commands and using external diffing tools) but I've not found sufficient need to use those yet.
